About Us
Meet The ARH Founder
Hi! My name is Yvonne. I am a researcher from Nairobi, Kenya, with a PhD in Climate Change and Adaptation from the University of Nairobi.
I am trained in conservation biology and climate change and have worked in public policy, research, project management and teaching in the environment and climate change sector for several years.
I’m also a National Geographic Explorer, 2021 Mawazo Learning Exchange Fellow and board member at Conscious Kenya, and have published widely on climate change and ecosystems.
Reflecting on my PhD journey, I thought about the challenges and unique opportunities for me as an African, building a research career on the continent.
This led me to create Africa Research Hub, a resource aimed at helping African students and researchers build their careers on the continent.
We do this by providing advice, information, and resources to help you on your research journey.
We also provide a peer learning support network for African researchers to share their experiences and expertise with one another.
